Té Lovers Newsletter - World Music Tonight!
World Music Nights
We are big fans of the world music scene, and last year Té was host to
several local world music bands, including Hidden Paraiso, kayumanggi,
and Soledad Sons.
After
a long hiatus, we are happy to announce that the world music scene is
happening again! Come tonight (and every Saturday night) to hear
Latin-infused rhythms being spun by DJ Bert Samples (who is regularly
featured on KPFT's Music Beyond Borders). Salsa, merengue, Caribbean
pop ... you can never predict what musical samples will emerge from DJ
Bert's spinning, but you can certainly predict it will be fun to listen
to ... and to dance to!
So, come to lounge, listen or dance: 9 pm to midnight tonight (Saturday).
Breakfast at Midnight
Also, this Saturday night we'll be starting our "Breakfast at Midnight"
specials. The kitchen re-opens at night, and every Friday and Saturday night
you can order from our special breakfast menu, including crepes,
breakfast croissants, breakfast burritos, and omelettes. Need a jolt
for the night? Try our Ying Yang, a special brew of tea, coffee and
milk - a signature drink of Hong Kong (yes, we do have coffee too, for those die-hard coffee fans). Or, perhaps a bit bleary-eyed?
(we won't ask where you were before!). Ask for one of our hang-over special teas: tea blends rich in anti-oxidants and de-toxifying phenols. We can't guarantee you'll be cured, but you'll certainly feel more refreshed and relaxed after drinking one of these teas.
Of course, this means we're open past midnight on these nights. We won't have an exact closing time, but as long as you're around, please feel welcome and stay relaxed. We'll keep the lights dimmed so those bleary eyes won't be a'hurting!
