Tibetan Tea
Enjoy this hearty tea on a cold wintry day, and you'll imagine you're up in the Himalayans with your best hiking buddies :)
Ingrediants
- Puerh or Yunnan Tea Bricks
- Butter
- Salt
- Milk (depends on ones preference, but we usually add milk)
Bring Water and tea brick to boil together (10 ounces of water per 1.5 ounces of tea); strain the water and pour into a shaker. Add butter (1 or 2 chunks, depending on taste), milk and salt. Shake for a minute or two and you are done.
Traditionally, Tibetans use a churn to mix their butter tea.
